[Monthly Feature]


Mother's Day is normally the beginning of BBQ season here in Saskatchewan... unless  you belong to that exclusively crazy group of people who BBQ all year round (of which I am one)!

SaskMade has expanded their protein offerings just in time for grilling season. We have added bison, fish and chicken to our freezer, on top of our already favourite Blair's Angus Beef burgers, smokies and steaks. Not to mention the seasoning, rub, sauce and cheese selection, which has also grown.

We will continue to bring in fresh herbs, greens and produce as the weather allows.

Lastly, keep an eye on your inbox for exclusive invitations to events being held at the store throughout the summer *hint - free burgers. You won't want to miss it. 


[Recipes from our last Taste of Saskatchewan] 
*in case you missed it! 

Quick Sour Cherry Salsa

700g Everyday Farms Frozen Tart Cherries
1/2 large red pepper, diced
1/2 large red onion, diced
4-5 cloves of garlic, diced
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Salt to taste 

Thaw and drain the cherries, overnight if possible. Mix all ingredients together and let sit for 30 minutes. Best served on a crostini or cracker with a soft cheese, such as Brie.

You can also freeze any un-used salsa for next time!

[Monthly Feature]

At SaskMade we love helping our customers eat nutritious and healthy meals that taste amazing! In aid of this, we have recently focused on Ready Made Meals that you can quickly pop into the oven and feed your family in a hurry. Bonus - They are all made in Saskatchewan! 

At the store you can find Ready Made lasagna, pizza, pasta, and soups... and we're just getting started. 

We have also been able to finally source local bison for our customers. Bison is a lean and nutritious alternative to beef, and can be easily substituted. For more information about bison and more recipes, go to the official  Canadian Bison website. 

[Recipes to Keep Your ❤️ Healthy & Your Tummy Happy]      

Gourmet Bison Burgers

2 lbs ground bison trim
2 cloves garlic
3 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 onion, small diced
1 large carrot, grated
1 large egg
1 raw potato, grated
1.5 tsp salt
0.5 tsp Rosemary, thyme and oregano
0.25 tsp pepper

Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix together. Form bison into patties. Serve on a toasted bun with traditional sides.
