Petrofka Orchard is an apple orchard and vegetable farm located just 40 minutes north of Saskatoon. Our goal is to produce fresh, healthy and sustainably grown food for local customers.
Our orchard is situated in beautiful central Saskatchewan which grows mostly apples but also several other fruits and vegetables.
Our orchard includes a large facility which accommodates not only the storage for tons of apples but a processing room where we create wonderful gourmet apple products which sell at our on-site Country Store and other retail stores like SaskMade.
Harvest begins in September which means pressing of the apples begins shortly after. We press about 2,200 lbs. of apples a day which is used for either our Soft Apple Cider or Extra-Aged Apple Cider Vinegar. We also slice up apples to make either dehydrated apples or produce frozen apples wedges which are used in our gourmet apple by-products such as our Sweet-N-Spicy Apple Mustard, Apple Pie Jam, Larissa’s Jalapeno Jelly or our famous Carrot Cake Jam.
We are active supporters of the University of Saskatchewan’s Fruit Program and continue to work with researchers to help test and develop new hardy varieties.
At Petrofka Orchard, we have great walking trails, homemade pies, fresh produce, unique preserves, fresh berries and other locally produced items. Come visit us to see what you have been missing. We are constantly adding new items to our product line and manicuring our 46 acres to make your drive worthwhile. It is our hope and plan to make Petrofka Orchard into a destination for you and your family to come out and enjoy it alongside us.
