Homemade Hummus

Ingredients

  • 540mL of Diefenbaker Seed Processors chickpeas (cooked)
  • 1/2 tsp of cumin
  • 3 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1-2 cloves of fresh garlic
  • 1/2 cup of Three Farmers Camelina Oil
  • 4-5 leaves of Floating Gardens fresh basil, chopped
  • pinch of cracked black pepper
  • pinch of salt to taste

Directions

Put the chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, and cumin in the food processor and blend together.  When well blended, pour in the oil very slowly to ensure emulsification.  Add chopped basil.  Season with salt and pepper to taste.
