Ingredients

  • 4 cups of Prairie Berries Saskatoon Berries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup sugar (can reduce if you prefer)

Directions

  1. Mix sugar & cornstarch together, then add cold water & lemon juice.
  2. Stir until smooth.
  3. Put fresh berries in bottom shell.
  4. Pour mixture from Step 2 over the berries.
  5. Cover with top shell. Bake at 425° F for 15 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat to 350° F.
  7. Bake for 35-45 minutes longer or until fruit is tender.
