Our organically certified wild rice flour is ground from the finest wild rice grown in the pristine lakes of Northern Manitoba. Wild rice flour is gluten free and adds a very unique flavour to your favourite recipes. When using wild rice flour you can supplement half the required amount of wheat flour in the recipe with the wild rice flour. You may also want to add either guar gum or xanthan gum (approximately 1 tsp per cup) to assist with binding. Using wild rice flour may require an extra egg as well as more liquid than is called for in the recipe.
