A Moment of Clarity by F.E. Eldridge (Your Nickel's Worth Publishing)

$22.95 CAD

F. E. Eldridge uses a finely tuned literary lens to focus on and magnify the impact of a single moment in time in the lives of her female protagonists, young and old, in these tales of both past and present, in settings that range from Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley to the Canadian Prairies.
Fran Eldridge was born in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia and, at seventeen, headed west to Edmonton, Alberta, where she completed her education. She spent time in the Northwest Territories before moving to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where she resides. Many of her stories are set in these locales. Fran’s fictional short stories are loosely based on her experiences of growing up in rural Nova Scotia and the life encounters she has had as an adult. Her retirement from the nursing profession was followed by a career in labour relations, and finally starting her own business growing and selling culinary herbs. Throughout it all, her desire to write has remained fervent. Fran now focuses on writing short stories and developing her interest in poetry. She is a long-time Saskatoon writer's group member and appreciates the literary guidance of the many Writers-in-Residence at the Saskatoon Public Library. Fran hopes readers will enjoy these stories of trials and tribulations in this, her first published book—each of which at some point reaches “a moment of clarity.”
